Local operators first

Every experience on Cavale is run by local or locally-embedded operators. At least 85% of what you pay goes directly into the local economy — to guides, cooks, drivers, and the families behind them.

Small groups by default

We favour operators who cap group sizes. Most experiences on Cavale are limited to 6-12 guests. Fewer people means less impact and a better experience.

No greenwashing

We don’t offset your flight and call it sustainable. We’re honest about the environmental cost of travel and focus on what we can control: supporting operators who protect their environments and communities.

Community benefit

We prioritise experiences where tourism directly funds community projects — schools, conservation, infrastructure. If an operator can show us where the money goes, they go to the front of the queue.

Transparency

Every listing includes information about the operator, their community impact, and their sustainability practices. We don’t hide behind badges — we show you the details and let you decide.
