1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Cavale website and booking service. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. The service

Cavale is a curated travel experience marketplace. We connect travellers with local experience operators. We are not the experience operator — we facilitate the booking and handle payment on behalf of the operator.

3. Booking and payment

• Request to Book: A booking request is not a confirmed booking. We confirm availability with the operator within 24 hours. You will not be charged until the booking is confirmed.
• Instant Book (where available): Your booking is confirmed immediately upon payment.
• All payments are processed securely via Stripe in GBP (British Pounds).
• Prices shown in other currencies are approximate display conversions only. The charge on your payment method will be in GBP.

4. Cancellation and refunds

• 14+ days before the experience: Full refund.
• 3–13 days before: 50% refund.
• Less than 3 days before: No refund.
• Operator cancellation: If the operator cancels, you will receive a full refund or be offered an alternative experience of equivalent value.

Note: These cancellation terms are subject to review. Individual experiences may have different cancellation policies as specified on their listing page.

5. Gift vouchers

• Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
• Vouchers are non-refundable after 14 days from purchase.
• Vouchers may be redeemed against any experience listed on Cavale .

6. Our liability

• Cavale acts as an intermediary. The experience is delivered by the operator, not by Cavale .
• We are not liable for the operator’s actions, omissions, or service quality.
• We vet all operators but do not guarantee their services.
• Our liability is limited to the commission amount received for the booking in question.

Note: These liability terms are subject to legal review.

7. Reviews

Reviews are moderated before publication. We reserve the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, offensive, or irrelevant to the experience. All published reviews are from verified bookings.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the Cavale website — including text, photography, design, and branding — is owned by Cavale or used under licence. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Note: If a Luxembourg entity is established, the governing law may change to reflect this.
