Vietnam's most famous road trip. Two days through mountain passes, terraced rice fields, and indigenous villages so remote they feel untouched. Sleep in a homestay, eat homecooked meals, and ride roads that make you stop every ten minutes for the view.

We rode the Ha Giang Loop ourselves in May 2024. There's no single operator for this experience - you rent a motorbike in Ha Giang town, ride the loop, and find homestays along the way. That's part of what makes it special: no fixed itinerary, no tour group, just you and the road. The homestay we found had a host who cooked us dinner in her traditional house, and the spontaneity of not knowing where you'd sleep that night made the whole trip feel like a real adventure rather than a packaged tour.
