About Cavale

What is Cavale?+

A curated travel experience platform. We personally vet every experience and write every listing. Think of us as your well-travelled friend who has already done the research.

How is Cavale different from Viator or GetYourGuide?+

We do not list thousands of experiences. We select a small number per destination and write about them honestly. Fewer choices, better choices.

What languages does Cavale support?+

English, French, and Luxembourgish. Our editorial team writes natively in all three.

What currencies can I pay in?+

GBP, EUR, USD, AUD, SGD, and CHF. All prices are stored in GBP and converted at display time.

Booking

How do I book?+

Select an experience, choose your dates and guests, and proceed to checkout. Some experiences offer instant confirmation. Others we confirm with the operator within 24 hours.

Can I cancel a booking?+

Yes. Free cancellation up to 14 days before for most experiences. Check the specific cancellation policy on each experience page.

What happens after I book?+

You will receive a confirmation email with your voucher, meeting point details, what to bring, and your operator contact information.

Can I book for someone else?+

Yes. You can also send a gift card at cavale.travel/gifts.

Membership

What is Cavale membership?+

An annual subscription (Explorer at £75/year, Insider at £395/year) that gives you member pricing on select experiences, 48-hour early access to new listings, and other perks.

Does the discount apply to all experiences?+

No. We select specific experiences for member pricing. Look for the member price badge.

Can I cancel my membership?+

Yes, anytime. Benefits continue until the end of your billing period.

Is it worth it?+

Most members save more than their membership fee on their first booking.

Safety and Trust

How do you vet operators?+

We research on the ground, meet the operator, test the experience where possible, and keep checking after listing.

What if something goes wrong during my experience?+

Contact us immediately. We provide 24-hour support and will work with the operator to resolve any issues.

Is my payment secure?+

Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
